17-year-old Roux arrives home after lengthy treatment at a rehabilitation clinic. However, the girl quickly returns to her former way of life - drugs and parties. Everything changes when Roo meets Jules ...

Plot

The plot focuses on Ru Bennett, who has just returned home from the clinic. The girl is trying to find her place in the world, but it is not so simple, because she is attached to her lifestyle as a drug addict. Roux sees hope for healing from this addiction in another girl, Jules, who had just arrived in the city after her parents divorced.

In the first season, we found out that Jules began dating a man from a dating site that turned out to be Nate’s father. Nate himself learns about the sexual past of his classmate Cassie. Another heroine Kat discovers that her candid video penetrated the network and decides to earn some money on it.

These frank "adventures" of teenagers became the main theme of the series. The continuation will not slow down, and the heroine of Ru will return to the screens after a relapse (however, the character can appear only in flashbacks).

It's no secret that the creators previously hinted that the project would end by no means a happy end. There is a fan theory that Ru and her friends died. For example, Ru throughout the season talks about each character in the past tense. It is likely that the heroine died, there is a hint at the very beginning in the phrase "I lost ... for the first, but not the last time." Also in the last episodes of the first season, the intensity of passions increased - Nate could kill Jules or Roo herself.

However, the girl can stay alive - it is possible that Ru will overcome her drug addiction, as was the case with the author of the series, Sam Levinson, on the basis of whose life the project was created. Due to the possible death of Jules at the end of the season, Ru will find himself guilty. Since she could not help her in time, a relapse will occur with the girl, from which she will fall into a coma. Then this will be an explanation of all her detailed descriptions of the other characters in the series. Well, in the second season, she can get out of a coma and begin to build a new life.

Whether this theory is true, we will find out in season 2.
